Partner: Center for Security Studies, Zürich
The Center, based at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, was founded in 1986 by Prof. Kurt R. Spillmann. It is an independent academic institution engaged in research and teaching on national and international security policy - including a research group focusing on NATO history - and conflict analysis. Among the Center's publications are the annual Bulletin zur schweizerischen Sicherheitspolitik and the Studies in Contemporary History and Security Policy. The Center serves as a resource for public administrators and the media and as a consultant to the Swiss Federal Government.
The Center's International Relations and Security Network (ISN) is the leading Internet-based network of electronic services in the fields of international relations and security policy. Within the scope of Switzerland's contribution to NATO's Partnership for Peace (PfP), ISN provides a search engine for the NATO homepage, participates in the PfP Consortium of Defense Academies and Security Studies Institutes, and operates the PfP Documentation Center. It is run in conjunction with the Euro-Atlantic Foundation in Brussels and several international organizations as well as academic partner institutions.
