||
Description:
This Bulgarian document refers to a proposal by Bulgaria and Romania to create a chemical weapons-free zone in the Balkans. It shows that by this point in time, the Soviet leadership had come to regard such initiatives by their allies not only as acceptable, but as consistent with their own goals. This particular proposal met with a reserved response from Turkey and Albania. The reactions of Greece and Yugoslavia were more positive. Collection: A Cardboard Castle?
