Draft of Declaration on Security in Europe-undated- |
||
Description:
This document is the draft declaration of the Warsaw Pact on the future strengthening of peace and security in Europe. It sharply criticizes the impact of US foreign policy because of its effects on European security and, on a larger scale, for obstructing national independence movements in Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America. The Warsaw Pact countries call upon Western Europe to broaden economic, cultural, and technological relations with the Eastern bloc, on the principles of mutual respect and non-intervention, despite differences in their socio-political systems. They further urge Western Europe not to permit the nuclear militarization of West Germany.
