Letter from India's Moscow Embassy to the Ministry of External Affairs (4 November 1960)

4 Nov 1960
Description: This letter reports the details of a meeting between an Indian delegation and Marshall Malinovsky. The latter emphasizes the support of the leadership of the Red Army for Khrushchev's policies of disarmament and peaceful coexistence. He cites Indo-Soviet relations as a prime example for the fruitfulness of coexistence between states with different political and economic systems. Malinovsky condemns the Chinese position with respect to international affairs, particularly Mao's irresponsible statement regarding the feasibility of nuclear war.
