This record of a meeting with Cuban leader Fidel Castro on the occasion of the tenth Interkit meeting in Havana addresses China's foreign policy. Castro expresses his concern regarding the improved relations between Western countries and Beijing. He criticizes Maoism as an ideology different from Marxism, and therefore as unsuitable for building the future. In this respect, he expresses his disagreement with the politics of the general secretary of the Romanian Communist Party, Nicolae Ceauşescu. Other topics discussed are the situation in Cambodia, the question of exiled Cubans, and the human rights campaign of US President Jimmy Carter.
