Description:
In the spirit of the 1966 public declaration on the US war in Vietnam, this declaration (delivered at the Warsaw Pact's Political Consultative Committee [PCC] meeting in Sofia in 1968) expresses firm support for the governments of Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam, stressing that the US should immediately, completely, and unconditionally end all acts of war against Vietnam. The Warsaw Pact will continue to render all necessary assistance to Vietnam, including economic aid, defense facilities, equipment, specialists, and volunteers. Collection: Party Leaders
