This document examines the present situation and perspectives of the US-Soviet negotiations on limiting nuclear weapons in Europe. It was prepared by the East German Staatssicherheit (Stasi) intelligence agency. The paper reviews the West German and US positions with respect to the negotiations on intermediate-range nuclear weapons disarmament in Geneva. The US wants to achieve a zero-sum result.
