Gen. Jan Drzewiecki's Critique of the Statute of the Unified Command3 Nov 1956 |
||
Description:
This is a 1956 Polish critique of the statute of the Warsaw Pact's (WP) Unified Command. General Drzewiecki states that the concept is aimed at a supranational army and de facto abolishes the national character of the respective armed forces of the WP members. He proposes measures that would guarantee the sovereignty of the general staffs of the WP member states as well as their individual defense capabilities. Collection: A Cardboard Castle?
