Report by Minister of National Defense (Lajos Czinege) to the HSWP Political Committee on the Command System of the Unified Armed ForcesSubject: Command System of the United Armed Forces20 Apr 1965 |
||
Description:
In this report, Hungarian Minister of National Defense Lajos Czinege criticizes the command system of the United Armed Forces (UAF). He states that the functions of the Supreme Command are not thoroughly regulated and criticizes the UAF's lack of a collective leading military body, even though the Warsaw Pact is a multilateral alliance. In view of this, Czinege proposes the establishment of a Military Committee of the armies of the member states that would include all the national ministers of defense.
