Description:
This stenographic transcript of a meeting of the Political Consultative Committee (PCC) of the Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party (RCP) refers to the new wartime statute of the United Armed Forces (UAF). Romanian Defense Minister Vasile Milea argues that although the new statute comprises a number of modifications, it does not solve the issues on which Romania disagrees. According to Milea, each country of the Warsaw Pact should not only have its own army, but should also be allowed to fulfill its own tasks. Among the other issues, the PCC members discuss Romania's national budget quota dedicated to the UAF. Collection: A Cardboard Castle?
