Description:
In this report on the sixth meeting of the Political Consultative Committee (PCC) to the Hungarian Politburo, the first secretary of the MDP/MSzMP, János Kádár, concentrates on two main issues: Mongolia's unsuccessful application for admission in the Warsaw Pact in light of the nuclear test ban treaty agreement between the Soviet Union and the US, and the reasons and consequences of the Sino-Soviet split. On a regional level, Kádár submits for analysis the Soviet proposition to Warsaw Pact countries to invest in Soviet production of grain, cotton, copper, and electricity.
