Conference Proceedings

24 Mar 2004
Description: Published by the Center for Security Studies in Zurich, these proceedings of the Beijing international seminar on Chinese-East European relations from the 1960s to the 1980s, held in March 2004, sumarize the sessions of the conference. The sessions provide assessments of China's relations with Eastern Europe in view of the Sino-Soviet Split, the Vietnam War, the Chinese Cultural Revolution, the Prague Spring, and Sino-US rapprochement. The last two sessions of the conference cover the mutual effects of reforms in China and Eastern Europe and the process of normalization in Chinese-Eastern European relations.
