||
Description:
This is a Czechoslovak evaluation of the Helsinki Final Act, written in 1976. The country's party presidium outlines a strategy to implement the Final Act, stating that implementation of the results of the CSCE conference will be a long-term process. The focus will be mainly on the bilateral relations of Warsaw Pact (WP) members and Western countries. The latter are not to be allowed to misuse the provisions of the second and third CSCE baskets to justify intervention in the WP's internal affairs. The important goals are to link political with military détente and to facilitate confidence-building measures in accordance with the Final Act. Collection: A Cardboard Castle?
